UPC Netherlands is the 2^nd largest cable television operator in the Netherlands. UPC Netherlands provides analog & digital cable video, broadband internet, and traditional circuit-switched & digital (VoIP) telephony services to 1.9 million customers as of June 30, 2010.

UPC Netherland’s customers are located across six broad regional clusters, including the two largest cities, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Its networks are 94% upgraded to two-way capability, and almost all of its cable homes are served by a network with a bandwidth of at least 860 MHz.

UPC Netherlands also offers a range of voice, broadband internet, private data networks, and customized network services to business customers, largely in its metropolitan regions.

Additionally, Liberty Global’s European headquarters and European distribution center, the Digital Media Center, are located in Amsterdam.

Video

UPC Netherlands provides analog and digital video services. An analog cable subscriber receives approximately 30 video channels and 40 radio channels, depending on location. UPC Netherland’s digital cable service offers up to 90 video channels (including the channels in its analog service), depending on the package, and up to 70 radio channels. Through its digital service, UPC Netherlands also offers multiple packages of premium programming, an electronic programming guide, interactive services, as well as DVR & HD-DVR time-shifting capability, on demand services (VoD), and HD television channels.

Internet

UPC Netherlands offers 6 tiers of broadband internet service, providing among the best-in-market stand alone and bundled internet speeds. Download speeds range from 5 Mbps to 120 Mbps with its next-generation broadband internet service, UPC Fiber Power, utilizing EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. UPC Netherlands was one of the first companies in Europe to offer next-generation internet service.

Voice

UPC Netherlands provides fixed-line voice with traditional circuit-switched telephony, as well as feature-rich digital telephony via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).
